A Message from the Principal

St Bede’s – Small School, Big Community

 I would like to extend a warm welcome to visitors to our wonderful school and take this opportunity to tell you more about us. At St Bede’s we provide a positive and encouraging learning environment under-pinned by high expectations of each student to achieve to the best of his or her abilities supported by a dedicated staff.

As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to ensure that our children reach their potential. I believe that all of us, the school and the community, must work together to ensure success for all our students. We consider it is everyone’s responsibility to inspire children with the creative, academic and decision-making skills necessary for them to become socially, physically and emotionally successful and responsible.

With that in mind, you will be invited to be an active participant at St Bede’s. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the P&F or special event participation, you will be encouraged to become involved. Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child.
